Project Size: 106sqm
Finally after not being able to get much work done for the last 2 or 3 weeks, we managed to sneak in a pour yesterday that has been set up waiting for roughly that time.
We returned to this beautiful property at Wongawallan for the 3rd time now to get a bit more completed to this property upgrade, this time a side carport, rear paths and patio section all surrounding the house and new bar area that our clients installed.
When we first started, we began with a full dig out and sub-grade of the areas, removing approximately 20m.cub of fill from the areas to bring the levels down, followed by forming everything up, the usual starter dowels and re-entry bars, and of course the chaired steel reinforcing.
After a few weeks of heavy rain before cyclone Debbie hit, we couldn’t get any of the pouring completed, then of course the cyclone brought the rain our way which washed us out again for a few more days. Looking at the weather yesterday we thought it was our best chance, so pumps and concrete were called in and the concrete was poured.
Unfortunately it decided to bucket rain on us at around lunch time (with nothing on the radar), so this set us back a few more hours waiting or the surface to dry off again to continue finishing.
In the end, everything came up as it should and I’ll return tomorrow for the saw cutting and clean up of site.
Not a lot of photos for this one as all the surrounds of the slab were fill with mud after the lunch time rain, I’ll try post some photos of the back when it dries out a bit.
Thanks again to our clients and we’ll see you for the next stage of the upgrades.
