Exposed Aggregate Concrete
Exposed Aggregate Concrete is the process of changing the course aggregate (large aggregates), in your concrete mix from the standard Blue Stone to more colouring, blended stones. After the installation, the surface is then washed off to reveal the course aggregates leaving a beautiful, natural finished product blending well with it’s surroundings.
Finishes & Maintenance
Exposed Concrete is finished by washing off the matrix surface by water pressure, or, it can be left to cure then later returned to and grinded back and polished for a more smooth appearance. It is advised that Exposed Aggregate Concrete be sealed after installation to prevent water penetrating the surface and gradually eroding away the matrix around the stones, then further, re-sealed everything 12 months for maintenance.
